Four new works
Dance
Presented in Hamburg in August, Lucinda Childs’ latest creations are a symphony of purity. Her four new works include two group pieces and two solos. Three group pieces and a solo make up these “four new works”, for which she invites Bach, lifelong friend Philip Glass, and Hildur Guðnadóttir, winner of the 2020 Oscar for best film score. Added to these guests is the artist Anri Sala, who directed the video installation “Day Still Night Again”, in which she performs a reprise of the solo Geranium (1965). Four new works heralds an hour of grace in the elegant world of Lucinda Childs.
