Une rencontre avec Wajdi Mouawad
Discussion
Audience-artists meeting
How do you create and develop a programme in a political context of violence and injustice? How can theatre and art become forms of resistance?
Renowned playwright and director Wajdi Mouawad, director of Théâtre de la Colline since 2016, will meet the audience at La Bâtie for a discussion hosted by Mathieu Menghini over brunch.
As an artist and programmer, how do you continue to create and campaign in an increasingly violent and unjust political context? What is the social role of the performing arts? How can we continue to get involved? Mouawad will share his thoughts on creation and the responsibilities associated with his role as programmer at La Colline.
Mathieu Menghini is a historian. A former director of Centre culturel neuchâtelois, Théâtre du Crochetan and Théâtre Forum Meyrin. He is also the founder of the cultural, artistic, and community movement, La Marmite.
